Raised in a Navy family, Dora Lee understands relocation!  Dora Lee has lived in the Hampton Roads area since 1983, enjoyed sailing the Chesapeake Bay and a competitive game of racquetball and now enjoys an occasional game of golf. Her son Brett, graduate of Norfolk Academy and the University of Virginia, is Senior Director, Product Management at Appian.  He and his family now live in Fort Collins, CO, where he telecommutes daily.  Her daughter-in-law Lauren is Professor of Clinical Psychology at Colorado State University.  They have made Dora Lee and her husband Jeff grandparents to two adorable little girls, Hannah and Eva.

Active in the community, she volunteers many hours and talents to several important causes including:

• Board member to the non-profit Judeo-Christian Park Place School, which provides unique and specialized education and educational therapy in reading, writing, and arithmetic to “at risk” children in Norfolk.
  
• Circle Member of the Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters (CHKD) actively supporting the community in its efforts to raise funds to support the Hospital and particularly the Child Abuse Center and new Mental Health Hospital.
  
• Supports the local AIDS/ACCESS program.  Dora Lee works to raise funds and awareness of and provide support to Hampton Roads adults and children suffering with the disease.
  
• Virginia Opera Guild Board Member serving to promote interest in and attendance at the Virginia Opera
  
• Past Board Member and Officer of Community Alternatives Management Group and Community Alternatives Inc., non-profit organizations, supporting their programs, which provide housing, training, and employment for mentally and physically challenged adults in the Hampton Roads area.
  
• Dora Lee was designated by the Virginia Supreme Court as a volunteer mediator helping to resolve disputes through mediation and served as an Officer on the Board of Trustees of the Better Business Bureau’s Dispute Settlement Center.
